I cried when I got the message
You slipped away in your sleep
It’s been three days to the hour
Tried to finish my coffee, went to work
(Insomnia)
Couldn’t focus on a single thing
(Insomnia)
With a smile on your face you left us
Like a thief in the night
Like a thief in the night
Like a thief in the night
Like a thief in the night
Today I had a vision while I tried to sleep
That you had risen to the sky
Up above the Delaware beaches
(With a smile on your face)
Newcastle joyful wave goodbye
(With a smile on your face)
With a smile on your face you left us
Like a thief in the night
Picked up the kids and kissed the wife
Found a peace I could feel til now
With a smile on your face you left us
Like a thief in the night

Good Evening

I'm driving home
You're on your death bed
I'm driving home
You're on your death bed
There's so many things I'd say
I wanna drive away, away from here
Choking on your life
And all that I can do is
Try to keep it on the road
Delaware
That's where you run away
From your fears
Delaware
That's where you run away
From your fears
I'm just running

Solitude creates independence
But I wish that I could have been there
When the morphine was your only choice
You were strong
Family's splintered
Lives destroyed
Lost the battle, won the war
But I wish that I could have been there
When the oxy was your only choice
You were strong
No regrets now
You were strong
No regrets now
You were strong
Solitude creates independence
But I wish that I could have been there
When the morphine was your only choice
You were strong

And I know
You wanted to do more
But there's nothing more you can do
This is my war
So, let me fight it
We need more time
We need more time
I need more time
Time is up
Ashes in the air
Ashes in the air
And I know
You wanted to do more
But there's nothing more you can do
This is my war
So, let me fight it
It's not yours
It's mine
It's mine

I think we're in the clear
(But are we?)
I think we're in the clear
(But are we?)
I think we're in the clear
(Are we clear?)
Are we clear?
Are we clear?
Are we clear?
I think we're in the clear
(But are we?)
I think we're in the clear
(But are we?)
I think we're in the clear
(Are we clear?)
I think we're in the clear

The 5-year relative survival of adults diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) was less than 10% during the 1970s and 1980s in England. This population-based study estimated the 5-year relative survival and ‘cure’ for 48 380 adult patients diagnosed with AML in England during 1971–2006. Relative survival and cure mixture models were used to produce estimates of 5-year relative survival and the percentage ‘cured’. ‘Cure’ was defined as the proportion of a group of survivors for whom there is no excess mortality compared with the general population. The 5-year relative survival and the percentage ‘cured’ increased for patients aged under 70 years at diagnosis during 1971–2006, but advancing age was associated with poorer outcome. During the study period a dramatic increase in 5-year relative survival occurred in those aged 15–24 years, from 7% to 53%. The percentage ‘cured’ was less than 10% for all ages in 1975, but increased to 45% for those aged 15–24 years in 2000. Cure could not be estimated for patients over 70 years, because survival was consistently low (<5%).
